How do I overcome trouble swallowing capsules?

I’ve been taking antibiotics because I had my wisdoms out earlier this month, and those little capsules don’t like going down at all! Most of the time, they stick in my throat and dissolve slowly there. No matter how much water I drink, food I eat, or times I rub my throat, the stupid things don’t go down!

What should I do?

Try swallowing with a bit of food like a little piece of bread. I do this and chew the food, pop the pill in my mouth and it all goes down. I have a bad problem swallowing pills too, especially capsules. A lot of this is psychological and the more you worry about swallowing the pill, the harder it is to go down, so try to relax too.

Practice swallowing smaller things first. For instance, peas and cereal flakes are good for starting out.
