I am an epileptic who has only smokes occasionally. However I want to use pot to lower my epilepsy med dosage (valporic acid). How do I figure out how much to smoke? is it easy to find a helpful doctor? Any advice about medicinal pot? Oh, I live in Toronto.

Well, in order r to use medicinal Marijuana you must obtain a medicinal marijuana license. This license must be obtained by a real doctor. When you go to get your license, you can ask the doctor any questions you have- a doctor is the only person who can prescribe a dosage to you.

if I were to move to Washington and have medical care there, would a doctor be authorized to give me a prescription for medicinal marijuana as a for severe debilitating cramps? (I have vomited on several occasions from the severe pain) and I have been prescribed other medications in the past, but none of them work and I am worried about side effects of the pills.

I would like to know the steps required to receive a medicinal marijuana card.

You need to see your doctor and have a "legitimate" condition for which marijuana has been proven to be useful. I use quotes around legitimate, because a prescription for medical marijuana is pretty easy to obtain in California. Chronic pain, ADD, and sleep disorders are conditions for which marijuana is often prescribed. Keep in mind that employers can still deny you employment for testing positive for marijuana, even if you have a prescription.

Inhaling smoke at any time is not good for you. Frequent inhalation can cause chronic health problems for many parts of the body including lungs, heart, kidneys, brain, throat… Extended use can cause disease, even if it’s just wood smoke.

If you’re asking if it’s as bad as commercial tobacco, no it’s not. Few things naturally growing in nature have all the dangerous additives and chemicals that are included in cigarettes.
