How do you make plant extracts or plant oils?

For example: mint oil/extract, rosemary extract, etc.

These are to be used for medicinal purposes.

I make my own rosemary extract by filling up a dark glass container with dried rosmary leaves (crush them with your fingers) then I pour alchohol to slightly cover them….then I leave it in a warm but not too warm place for say a month and there you have it..
