Can valerian root capsules be purchased at a CVS by a minor?

I have read extensively about the side effects and everything, so I know what I’m doing. I’m 16 and I’ve had horrible insomnia all my life. My mom’s entire side of the family has. Lately it’s been taking me hours to fall asleep, sometimes not even until morning. I want to try valerian because it’s safe, but will CVS allow me to purchase it as a minor?

You can buy it o problem, its not like modern medicines etc., its an herbal remedy so there’s no age restriction. Although i would recommend getting it in a tincture (liquid) form with added hops to get absorbed more easily. If you don’t want to take a liquid, then go for the solgar brand valerian root capsules, they’re much higher quality than others around for more or less the same price. Also, like with any medicines, your body can develop an ammunity to herbal remedies, i would suggest taking a low dose at first to see if it works and increase your dose slowly if you don’t notice an effect the first couple of nights.

ps. Some herbal remedies don’t work for people when they have worked for others, but if valerian doesn’t work for you there are other methods such as relaxation and deep breathing that i have found extremely effective, so don’t lose hope!

Looking for pink lemonade licorice rope, can’t remember brand name?

When I was a kid, I used to get a long licorice rope (just one rope, not several in a bunch) and they came in different flavors but pink lemonade was my favorite. I’m 5 months pregnant and have a serious craving for them. I tried doing a google search for pink lemonade licorice, or licorice rope but haven’t been able to find who makes them, let alone the product itself. Does anyone remember who makes these and know where I can get some?

I had this question on a quiz:
If theme 1 starts in the tonic (G major) then what key is the key of the second theme (dominant)?
sorry the wording may be off but this was the general idea
I answered that the the dominant key (2nd theme) would be in D major
If you could let me knw if this is correct and if not, then why? that would be great

D major. The dominant isn’t five steps up, it’s the fifth scale degree.

Is tea good for a golden pothos and peace lily?

I just rip open the bag and dump it on there. Maybe water it down a little. I think tea is good for acid-loving plants, but I don’t know if my plants fit the bill. Personal experiences appreciated!

Yes my mother used to put tea in her pothos and peace lilyes and still does the plant seems to like something in the tea, but i don’t know what it is?

you certainly can give milk thistle to your dog. you can also give sam-e to your dog for liver support as well. when my little one was having trouble with her liver, we had her on both of those products.

see if your vet is familiar with them, if not see if there is a holistic vet near you.
