How do I make legitamate licorice candy?

I made a (rather succesful) batch of root beer recently, and now I have some leftover Licorice sticks (roots, not candy) and I was wondering how to make licorice candy or anything else I can do with licorice?

Take a shyte, wrap it in foil and call it "licorice"

That’s what it tastes like anyway.
