What kind of tea do most southern use or is found in restaurant or fast food called?

Is it black tea?

I live in Alabama and you can go into any restaurants and fast food place to order a cup of sweet tea. But I always been curious to figure out what type of tea is that called.

It’s probably an orange pekoe, the most popular kind of black tea. Of course they load it with tons of high fructose corn syrup.

Black Tea is used for iced tea almost everywhere. Sweet Tea is sweetened before it’s served.

It’s just regular tea. (i think on the back it’ll say it’s a mixture of Black/Orange Pekot teas)

If you go to the grocery store & get Luzianne or Tealey (which I think are the best two) in the family size & boil 3 tea bags for 3 minutes.. then add sugar to your liking (I prefer 3 heaping half cups) & water to fill up the rest of your gallon. MMMmm. gotta love sweet tea!

It’s black tea. Sometimes it’s called "Orange Pekoe," but that’s just a variety of black tea (how they got orange out of black, I don’t know).

    It’s black tea with sugar.
Make sure you use real sugar because that artificial crap is nasty not to mention toxic.
